Fold-by-Number Cloth Napkins by Julian Lindpaintner for MoMA

This FestiveNESS pick is a small gesture that encourages big change. Inspired by memories of learning to fold napkins with her grandmother, the Fold-by-Number Cloth Napkins by Julia Lindpaintner for the MoMA Design Store are playful and yet classic. In their simplicity, they are a motivation to adapt our habits and return to reusable napkins for everyday dining.

The napkins include built-in instructions, making them accessible to all. They are sold as a set of six and each napkin measures twenty square inches that folds into a unique design. The designs follow Lindpaintner’s focus on human-centered design to tackle problems that matter.

The napkins were designed for MoMA’s Collaboration with the MFA Products of Design program at the School of Visual Arts in 2017. You can purchase them in the MoMA Design Store.
